The Police College has honored the President and members of its Quality and Strategy Team, who were issued the ISO 9001:2008 certification according to international standards. The ceremony took place at Al Ittihad hall at the College headquarters.
Colonel Saif Al Kutbi, Police College Director congratulated the departments for achieving excellence. He also pointed out that this achievement is the first step in a journey of further tasks, burdens and responsibilities incumbent upon us.
The Police College Director urged all personnel to pursue this distinguished approach to attain and maintain further achievements at the Police College. He also called on them to undertake more efforts by involving all staff members in quality process, and spreading culture at the various levels.
“This achievement would not have been possible without the support of the College's Board of Directors, chaired by Major General Nasser Lakhrebani Al Nuaimi, Secretary General of the Office of HH Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, who provides the necessary backing for the quality and development plans at the College,” added Al Kutbi.
He also reiterated the importance of identifying problems and obstacles at work, and finding suitable solutions. Moreover, he underscored the need to follow procedures to develop work and bring it to the highest levels. This philosophy adheres is in line with the Ministry of Interior’s strategy, which aims to enhance security and assurance to citizens and residents in the country.
In his statement on this occasion, Colonel Mohammed Ali Al Dalal, Head of the Quality and Strategy Team at the Police College expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Police College Director for his continuous support for the Team, which enabled it to obtain this award. He also expressed his thanks and appreciation to the heads of departments at the College for their diligent efforts that contributed to making this achievement possible. “This would boost performance in the Police College’s different departments, with a view to produce qualified police officers, as per the latest scientific methods and best applications and practices,” he added.
Concluding, Colonel Al Dalal urged the work team to pursue continuous development to further improve performance, and encourage creativity and innovation, to maintain this achievement; wishing everyone success.
At the end of the ceremony, Colonel Saif Al Kutbi, accompanied by Colonel Mohammed Al Dalal, distributed the certificates to the President and members of the Quality and Strategy Team at the Police College.
The ceremony was attended by Head of Departments and a number of officers at the College.
