‘Hand In Hand’ initiative launches in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, In collaboration with the Disabled Children’s Association

Under the philanthropic mission of the Robert Mouawad Foundation

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia - Monday, June 13th 2016 [ME NewsWire]

To give and to share are truly among the greatest pleasures on earth. It has been said that you have not lived until you have done something for someone that cannot repay you. The values and principles of Ramadan are ones that Mouawad deeply admires and connects to: humility, generosity and goodwill towards all. These values are at the core of the Robert Mouawad Foundation, with the promise of making a life-long difference to underprivileged children. As the Holy month has approached us, Mouawad has respectfully entered into the spirit of the season by first giving back to the region that has supported them since 1950: the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Disabled Children’s Association, under the esteemed patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Sultan Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz, officially has a new devotee, as Mouawad has humbly decided to support disabled children through the sale of specially-made Ramadan bracelets.

Mouawad’s global ‘Hand in Hand’ initiative sees each purchase of a custom designed bracelet making a precious difference to a child’s life. Part proceeds of each bracelet are donated to the Disabled Children’s Association, with a strong focus on advancing their education and upbringing. Secretary General of the Disabled Children’s Association, Mr. Awad Al Ghamdi, says: “It is our pleasure to have Mouawad partner with us to assist disabled children through their Hand In Hand initiative. Our aim is to empower every child with disability in the Kingdom and help them lead better lives. We are confident that this partnership will have a positive impact on the lives of many children in need.”

Making a thoughtful and beautiful gift for a loved one, the bracelets also stylishly express the art of giving in a compassionate fashion. For more than 125 years, Mouawad fine craftsmanship has been creating exceptional moments that are forever cherished as lifetime memories. Co-guardian of Mouawad, Pascal Mouawad says: “Mouawad is committed to making a lasting contribution to the communities where it operates, and we are pleased to have this initiative launched first in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The bracelets designed for the ‘Hand In Hand’ initiative are made with the intention of taking action on behalf of disabled children, while highlighting the spirit of this sacred time. We are more than honored to offer assistance, comfort and education to children with disabilities and we wish all a blessed and peaceful Ramadan”. Featuring a simple yet contemporary unisex design, the bracelets are crafted with 18-karat rose gold and leather, and are presently available for sale at all Mouawad boutiques in the Kingdom. Mouawad invites you to share in the creation of a lasting positive future for all with the ‘Hand in Hand’ initiative.
