Music of Abu Dhabi Police Heard in Moscow

ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates - Sunday, September 8th 2013 [ME NewsWire]

Audiences in Moscow were entertained by music played by the Abu Dhabi Police Music Band; the band presented traditional music highlighting the UAE’s heritage during a huge celebratory parade held to mark Moscow’s annual holidays. The celebration witnessed wide-scale international participation with large crowds partaking in the event. The band presented various pieces from Emirati folklore including Al-Aialah and Harbyiah Bedouin dance shows and national songs that reflect the originality of United Arab Emirates’ culture.

Similar musical performances were played in GUM, the department store, and the Moscow Museum and Kremlin Gardens. The performances received the admiration of the audience.

The Abu Dhabi Police Music Band participated in the International Military Music Festival “Spasskaya Tower” playing distinguished musical pieces. The participation coincides with Golden Jubilee Celebrations to mark its establishment in July 1963.

The participation is in line with the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters’ commitment to be present locally and globally to introduce the UAE’s heritage to different communities and promote the civilized image of Emirati society. The participation also exhibits the UAE’s pride in its music culture, which is distinguished for its sincere patriotism and close bonds to its citizens.
