ADP Obtains IdeasAmerica Gold Award

ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates - Saturday, September 21st 2013

The Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters received the Gold Award in

the Safety Idea of the Year Award category at the IdeasAmerica

Association’s award ceremony that took place at IA 71st Annual

Training Summit in Orlando, Florida, USA.


During the ceremony, Colonel Mohammed Hamid bin Dalmouj Al Dhaheri,

Strategy and Performance Development Director General, the General

Secretariat of the Office of H.H Deputy Prime Minister and Minister

of Interior, emphasized  that this achievement embodies the

directives of Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif  bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy

Prime Minister and Minister of Interior,  and stems out of the

abiding faith in the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ’s  vision to ensure that

the Emirate of Abu Dhabi remains a community enjoying security and

safety, by providing high-quality police services to citizens,

residents and visitors of the emirate. He pointed out that quality

safety and security has become a prerequisite in the world, to

achieve a safer, secure and prosperous life for everyone living in

the UAE.

He added: “Competing with developed international entities and

winning in this category evidences the Abu Dhabi Police’s firm belief

in the need to give priority to safety and security, and to endeavor

diligently to maintain them as we seek further progress.”

Furthermore, Colonel bin Dalmouj indicated that achieving excellence

is a responsibility incumbent upon every staff member of the Abu

Dhabi Police GHQ.  “We take pride in this excellence, and have always

enjoyed a distinguished prominent presence on the international scene

with our achievements. We are confident that goals motivate

challenges and challenges lead to excellence, and excellence will

ultimately bring about development, innovation, better performance

and leadership,” he said.

He added: “By winning several excellence awards at the local,

regional and international levels, the achievement made by Abu Dhabi

Police GHQ reflect the development reached by the Ministry of

Interior. This has been achieved thanks to the support of the police

leadership and its tireless continuous follow-up to develop

government performance in general, as well as the skills and

competency of the police force, the outstanding effectiveness of its

members and the strong belief in the need to work on providing an

adequate and stable work environment, and upgrading its services to

the public.”

Al Dhaheri reiterated that the security and safety of Abu Dhabi is a

priority for the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ. For this end, strategic plans

are established, and all Abu Dhabi Police resources are mobilized, to

develop and qualify its human cadre to respond effectively to any

potential emergencies.

Concluding, he stated:  “We love challenges and success. Our

participation this year is just the beginning of a long series of

phases, and God willing, we will compete next year in all 11

categories.”
