Abu Dhabi Police and Masdar Institute Discuss Cooperation

ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates - Thursday, September 19th 2013 [ME NewsWire]


The Education Department at the Human Resources Directorate General of Abu Dhabi Police discussed means to boost cooperation with Masdar Institute, particularly with respect to the various distinguished disciplines provided by the Institute for postgraduate studies, which focus on alternative energy, sustainability, and the environment that can be leveraged in police work.
Lt. Colonel Khalid Abdullah Al Khouri, Head of the Education Department had recently met in his office Professor Fred Moavenzadeh, President of Masdar Institute of Science and Technology, who briefed him on the various disciplines available at the Institute, which can serve the strategic efforts of Abu Dhabi Police GHQ to develop police work. Moreover, President of the Masdar Institute lauded the cooperation with Abu Dhabi Police with respect to undergraduate and advanced courses by providing advisory services and research in the field of security.
At the end of the meeting, head of the delegation expressed his appreciation for the warm welcome and good hospitality, and both parties exchanged shields and commemorative gifts.
