The Abu Dhabi Community Police launched a set of awareness-raising activities for students and parents, which include all updates and instructions established by the educational authorities in the Abu Dhabi Education Council and schools.
As part of this collaboration, the Community Police is carrying out field visits to educate students by delivering informational lectures. It is also distributing leaflets and brochures, providing tips and guidance to acquaint students with the correct behavior in school, as well as the proper methods of boarding and exiting school buses; and the need to adhere to the rules while arriving to school, and on the way back home.
Lt. Colonel Mubarak Bin Muhairom, Head of Department of Community Police noted that these awareness-raising activities organized annually, aim at informing both students and parents on the latest updates in the educational and organizational process in schools.
“The awareness-raising activities include a number of lectures provided by the Community Police Department to reiterate the need to observe order and calm while boarding and exiting school buses. They also focus on urging students to refrain from violence while participating in school activities; respect and preserve school equipment; commit to studying; avoid unexcused absences; and respect both teachers and the school administration,” added Lt. Colonel Muhairom.
For his part, Captain Majid Al Tamimi, Community Relations Branch Manager at the Community Police, urged parents to monitor their children and communicate with their schools, so as to achieve an integrated educational process, and overcome any potential obstacles. Concluding, he added that cooperation between the two sides regulates the educational system and contributes to achieve the optimal method to boost education.
