About SmallWorld

Small World is an annual fund raising event launched in 2011 under the patronage of H.E. Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan that brings together people, residing in the UAE, from various ethnic backgrounds. Founder of the idea and organizer of the event is Ms. Salam Hamzeh Ghaith, a philanthropist and CEO of Abu Dhabi-based Plush Event. Last year, 28 countries took part in this charity event with proceeds going to NGOs working with children around the world. Small World is committed to lending a helping hand to those less fortunate, from different parts of the globe, specifically, children. The event is a fundraiser that works in such a way that through the celebration of diversity and culture, participating countries present their national food, costumes, local dances and traditional music. The aim of this festive event is to raise money to support charity based institutions. Donations provided through Small World will be sent out on behalf of the children of the UAE to the less fortunate children around the world. Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Nahayan Mubarak Al Nahayan, each year a different charity organization will be chosen, and granted 50% of the annual event’s raised funds. The remaining 50% will be split evenly among charities that have been chosen by each of the participating countries.
