During
a visit to Tawam hospital in Al Ain City, officers from the Air Wing
Department at Abu Dhabi Police checked on the medical condition of the
two children, Hamid and Saeed Al Dir’e, who sustained minor injuries in a
car accident when traveling to Ibri in the Sultanate of Oman.
Brigadier
Pilot Ali Mohammed Al Mazroui, Director of the Air Wing Department at
the Abu Dhabi Police urged citizens travelling by land to spend the
holidays with their families in the region of Salalah in the Sultanate
of Oman to take caution while travelling by land, abide by the legal
speed limits and pay attention to the road surprises to ensure their own
safety and the safety of their children.
Brigadier Al Mazroui
stressed the Keenness of the Air Wing Department to maintain the safety
of community members, and to carry out their humanitarian and
professional duty by providing assistance and first aid to the injured
and critical cases, and transporting them to the nearest hospital or
health center.
For his part, Major Hamad Al Ketbi, Chairman of
the Relations Committee at the department, wished the family a quick
recovery. Moreover, he noted that this gesture reflects Abu Dhabi
Police’s commitment to communicate and strengthen ties with community
members on various occasions. He also highlighted the keenness of the
Air Wing Department’s staff members to carry out their noble duties of
offering first aid to injured people on external road and airlifting
them to the hospital for further treatment, in response to the
directives of the police leadership.
The Air Wing Department
ambulance plane had airlifted both children; Hamid, (12 years), and
Saeed Al Dir’e, (10 years), from Ibri hospital to Tawam hospital in Al
Ain. The two children had sustained injuries in a car accident in Ibri
region while travelling to Salalah. In a separate mission, a
30-year-old- woman from the same family was transported to Tawam
hospital due to her deteriorating health condition.
The family
members expressed their heartfelt thanks and appreciation for the Air
Wing Department’s officers’ visit. They also praised the diligent
efforts exerted by the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ to enhance the safety of
citizens and residents, through the advanced services provided at all
levels.
