ADP Organizes Awareness-Raising Activities for Schools

ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates - Thursday, March 13th 2014 [ME NewsWire]

Abu Dhabi Police took part in the open day activities organized by the International Community School, Abu Dhabi. This falls in line with the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters’ efforts to communicate with school students and acquaint them with the various tasks and duties carried out by the police, and to participate in their activities to enhance ties with the youth.
Security Inspection Department office manager, Lieutenant Hamad Al Azizi, stated that the police’s keenness to take part in public and private schools’ activities reflects the significant attention dedicated by the police sector to interact and communicate with young people. “This is achieved through fun-filled and attractive activities, which offer cultural advice and shed light on the police force’s functions, as well as its role in fulfilling police, social and humanitarian tasks within society,” he added.
Lieutenant Al Azizi also noted that Abu Dhabi Police has participated in the International Community School’s open day activities with a special performance by the Security Inspection Department’s sniffer dogs, along with the Community Police pavilion, which showcased their various tasks and achievements.
“The Security Inspection’s sniffer dogs gave a live entertaining show for students, which included a demonstration of their training and fighting skills, and the harmony between dogs and their trainers, in addition to different varied shows,” continued Lieutenant Al Azizi.
Abu Dhabi Police also organized competitions for students and distributed prizes and mementos to the winners. Awareness-raising brochures and leaflets were also distributed during this fun-filled day.
