“Waldorf

Vanderslice, global head, luxury and lifestyle brands, Hilton Worldwide.
“Since its inception, the Waldorf Astoria brand continues to expand
with landmark openings in prestigious destinations around the world.
Today, we are proud to introduce True Waldorf Service in China’s capital
city with the opening of Waldorf Astoria Beijing and are confident that
this hotel will offer guests unforgettable experiences that only happen
at a Waldorf Astoria.”
Waldorf Astoria Beijing is located in the
heart of the city on the former site of Xianliang Temple, which was the
permanent residence of Li Hongzhang, the first Chinese guest to stay at
the iconic Waldorf Astoria New York. Li’s visit held great political,
economic, and cultural significance within China. The hotel is just 27
kilometers from Beijing International Airport, 2.5 kilometers from
Beijing Railway Station and is within walking distance of the Dengshikou
Subway Station. Guests of the hotel have convenient access to the
shopping malls, central business district and historic landmarks, such
as the world renowned Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square.
“The
iconic Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts brand has become the
reference for defining luxury experiences and has a presence in key
locations globally. It is for this reason that Beijing, a fusion of
China’s past and present splendor, is the perfect location for Waldorf
Astoria’s second hotel in China,” said Martin Rinck, president, Asia
Pacific, Hilton Worldwide. “Waldorf Astoria Beijing will build on the
success of its namesake, the renowned Waldorf Astoria New York, and its
legacy of timeless luxury and exceptional experiences.”
Local
splendor blends with timeless elegance at Waldorf Astoria Beijing. With
interior designs crafted by top architectural and engineering talents at
Yabu Pushelberg Landscape, the Waldorf Astoria Beijing premises embody
both modern and traditional elements. The multi-million dollar art
collection also adds a touch of beauty and culture that is unparalleled.
Guest rooms include 38 suites in the main hotel tower and the Waldorf
Hutong Villa, three Hutong studios and a room housed in two villas with
private entrances located in a garden courtyard. Waldorf Astoria Beijing
is comprised of two magnificent buildings with varying styles. The main
tower is an elegant bronze building which will transform its color as
it ages. The surrounding Hutong Villas bear the elements of ancient
Imperial China, providing a breathtaking scene to behold.
From
arrival to departure, guests are not only embraced by the striking
design, but also welcomed by True Waldorf Service. This service
initiative assigns a personal concierge, acting as a primary contact, to
every guest ensuring that each request is fulfilled. From assisting
