ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates - Wednesday, October 9th 2013 [ME NewsWire]The Al Ain Police Directorate established a plan in preparation for Eid al Adha holidays. The plan aims to intensify police and community efforts for the benefit of all Al Ain city residents and visitors during the Eid El Adha holidays in the various tourist areas, markets, parks, and shopping centers.
Brigadier Hamad Ajlan Al Amimi, Director of the Al Ain Police Directorate stressed the leadership’s commitment to take the necessary measures to ensure the safety of both community members and visitors, and to intensify patrols at the various city entrances and exits, and near slaughterhouses. He also pointed out that traffic and security awareness will be intensified among the various society segments, in order to prevent any accidents that may occur and mar the joy of this blessed occasion. He noted that the city of Al Ain attracts large crowds of visitors from different cities across the state as well visitors from neighboring countries, due to its tourist and archaeological sites such as Jebel Hafeet and the Green Mubazzarah Region, as well as its suitable climate at this time of year.
Brigadier Al Amimi called on residents of the city to report any illegal phenomenon or behavior by calling the Police Operations Room (emergency 999) for, stressing the importance of maintaining a bright cultural image of the city during the Eid holidays and at all times.
Moreover, the Director of the Al Ain Police Directorate called on the public to abide by the safety and security rules. He warned them against leaving their vehicles unlocked in front of prayers yards, while performing the Eid prayers or in front of shopping malls lest they should be exposed to theft. He also advised them to be cautions while strolling or visiting relatives and friends.
