Saif Bin Zayed: Our Higher Leadership Cares about Distinguished Police Officers


Honored the Abu Dhabi Police Candidate for the Executive Council Medal

Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, underscored the care and support of the Higher Leadership towards distinguished police officers working in different fields of expertise.

His Highness honored in his office one of the Search and Rescue Team members in the UAE, First Warrant Officer Tariq Saleh Al Kindi. Al Kindi is the Abu Dhabi General Headquarters candidate for the Medal of the Executive Council (Abu Dhabi Award for Excellence) under the category of the Best Field Officer. The honor was bestowed onto Al Kindi in the presence of Major General Nasser Lakhrebani Al Nuaimi, Secretary General of the Office of HH Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior.

Saif bin Zayed congratulated Al Kindi for this achievement and urged him to further his efforts in the field of search, rescue and community training. His Highness wished Al Kindi the best of luck in the finals, as a qualified officer that deserves to be the Headquarters’ candidate for the award.

Al Kindi expressed his happiness for being honored saying that it is an honor for him to hold such a valuable medal; he added that this step is a push for him and his colleagues in the Search and Rescue Team at the Emergency and Public Safety Department at the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ to make further contributions. He extended his thanks to Major General Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, Director General of Central Operations, for his great support and valuable participation in the jury for the awards.

Lieutenant Colonel Mohammad Al Ansari, Head of the UAE Search and Rescue Team, said that the honoring from HH the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior for the candidate of the Abu Dhabi Police for the Medal of the Executive Council reveals the Higher Leadership’s level of care and support towards candidates of different ranks working in various fields. Al Ansari asserted the real implementation of the values and achievements of the 2013 - 2017 Strategy of the Abu Dhabi Police; it is a strategy that urges its subscribers, particularly members of Search and Rescue Team, to exert more efforts in the field.

Brigadier Ali Khalfan Al Dhaheri, Director-General of the Headquarters Affairs at Abu Dhabi Police; Colonel Saud Mosbah Al Saeidi, Director of the Secretariat of His Highness Minister of Interior; Lieutenant Colonel Mohammed Al Ansari, Head of the UAE Search and Rescue Team and Field Liaison Officer between the Ministry of Interior and the UN, attended the meeting.
