ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates - Wednesday, November 20th 2013
The ambulance aircraft of the Abu Dhabi Police Air Wing Department airlifted an Emirati national who sustained injuries in a car accident from Nazwa Hospital in Oman to Tawam Hospital in Al Ain City to complete treatment, in one of three separate emergency call-outs in the last couple of days.
The second task involved a three-hour old newborn baby; air transport was necessary because of the severity of the problem. The infant was airlifted in the air ambulance aircraft from Dalma Hospital in the Western Region to Al Rahba Hospital in Abu Dhabi. The medical crew on board attended to the baby during the flight to stabilize his condition.
In a third mission, the air ambulance aircraft rescued citizens who sustained injuries in a car crash close to Al Faya petrol station on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed road. The injured were airlifted to Al Rhaba Hospital for further treatment.
