The Traffic and Patrols Directorate at Abu Dhabi Police have distributed traffic awareness brochures regarding vehicle decoration guidelines for the 44th National Day in the city of Al Ain and the Western Region (Al Gharbia). This comes in a bid to emphasize the importance of adhering to the designated requirements.

“The traffic awareness brochures regarding vehicle decoration guidelines have been distributed to the public,” said Lt. Colonel Salah Abdullah Al Hemairi, Chief of Al Ain Traffic Section at the Directorate of Traffic and Patrols at Abu Dhabi Police. “The brochures include graphics and methods for decorating a vehicle in a way that does not impair the driver’s field of vision, alter the color of the vehicle, or hide the license plate from view.”

Adding further, Lt. Colonel Al Hemairi urged the public against obstructing the flow of traffic, parking in the road or in designated places for buses and taxis, leaning out of car windows or the sunroof, and against altering the engines in any way or installing any material to the vehicle that would make it louder. He called upon motorists to adhere to the prescribed occupant load of the vehicles, and warned them against using any type of spray, tinting the windshield or driver side window, and against changing the color of the vehicle.

Moreover, Major Suhail Sayah Al Mazroui, Chief of the Highways Traffic Section in the Western Region, called upon the public and urged them to abide by the laws of traffic and the guidance of the traffic officers in order to provide further safety; and to contribute to the celebrations of this dear national occasion without causing any traffic accidents. He pointed out that the Western Region Traffic Section will intensify its control in the areas where the festivities are held, alongside all of the roads in the region.
