The Ministry of Interior will be organizing an awareness council on Tuesday entitled “Cultural and National Pluralism, and its Impact on the National Identity.” The Council will be held at Suhail Khalifa Mohamed Al Marar’s residence located at Khalifa City in Abu Dhabi, and will be moderated by media figure Dr. Khalifa Al Suwaidi, presenter for Abu Dhabi Media.
The Council will discuss a number of topics such as the cultural and national pluralism within the UAE, its impact on the national identity, creating a distinctive cultural experience of the UAE amidst the diversity of cultures and nationalities, and the ability to utilize such contemporary methods and experience in order to serve all segments of society.
It is worth mentioning that the Ministry of Interior, represented by the Law Respect Culture Bureau, had launched the first awareness council for 2015 on January 12, in cooperation with the Security Media Department at the General Secretariat of the Office of H.H Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior. These year-round councils are held throughout Abu Dhabi to present and discuss a variety of issues that are of national and public interest in order to improve services and police work.
