Saudi driver Hatim Natto of Snickers-Hyundai team creates milestone in Abu Dhabi Drift IE championship

Snickers-Hyundai Racing Team opened their 2012 racing season in prime position for the first time when Saudi team driver Hatim Natto finished second and created a milestone in the recent Drift UAE championship held at the northern track of Yas Marina circuit in Abu Dhabi.

“This is the first Saudi achievement of its kind in the first Formula D championship in the region," said team manager Mohamed Alsofiani who was delighted by Natto’s achievement and their good team performance.

Emeriti driver Yousef Al-Naimi came in first while Saudi racer Abdulhadi Qahtani finished third.

Natto, who drove a 300 hp 4-cylinder turbocharged Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2011, was elated. “Finishing second in such fierce competition in our very first participation this year is very promising,” Natto said. “We hope to post prime positions in the coming championships including the Drift Gulf Challenge the final rounds of which will take place on March 2 at Alain Club amateur circuit under the supervision of Emirates Motor Sports Federation (EMSF).”

Alsofiani thanked team sponsors Snickers, Hyundai-Al-Naghi and RexonaMen and said the championship was well organized in a high-standards.
