Houston Methodist Global Health Care Services and Istanbul University Hospitals Sign Collaboration Agreement

(BUSINESS WIRE) Houston Methodist Global Health Care Services, the global subsidiary of Houston Methodist Hospital in Texas, USA, and Istanbul University Hospitals - General Directorate in Istanbul, Turkey, have signed a collaboration agreement in the areas of education and training.
Houston Methodist Global Health Care Services and Istanbul University Hospitals - General Directorate will collaborate on educational projects such as training, education courses and observership programs at Houston Methodist Hospital. The scope will include courses and practical programs to educate the full spectrum of the healthcare workforce including doctors, nurses, allied health and even hospital managers.
“This collaboration is very important to us,” said Mr. Haluk Ozsari, Istanbul University Hospitals - General Directorate. “Istanbul University has two medical schools and a dentistry school as well as Oncology and Cardiology Institutes. Thirteen hundred faculty members provide education, research and patient care. Istanbul University Hospitals, with 3500 beds, more than 12% of total bed capacity of Istanbul, receive 2.5 million outpatients and more than 100,000 inpatients a year.”
