In
cooperation and coordination with the Community Police Affairs
Department, the Residency and Foreigners Affairs Department, and Al Ain
Traffic and Patrol Section, the Al Ain Police Directorate, carried out a
number of field visits to Ramadan councils in Al Ain city. The visits
aim to promote communication and interaction with the community;
strengthen relations and increase public confidence in the Police.
Brigadier
Hamad Ajlan Al Amimi, Director of Al Ain Police Directorate underscored
the keenness of the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ to strengthen cohesion and
communication with the various segments of society, acquaint them with
the role of the Police, the services it provides and how to receive and
benefit from them; as well as identify the public’s needs and meet their
requirements. This reflects a commitment to achieve community members’
satisfaction and develop a spirit of partnership and responsibility
between them and the Police.
It is noteworthy that Al Ain
Police Directorate has formed a team of officers and civilians from the
Department of Community Police at the Directorate; the Residency and
Foreigners Affairs Directorate; and the Al Ain Traffic and Patrols
Section, to visit a number of Ramadan councils and community elders in
Al Ain city. The team visited the Ramadan councils hosted by Ahmed Ali
bin Maneh Al Shamesi at Zakher area, and by Ahmed Salem Saeed Al Sooden,
Head of the Arab African Organization for Abu Dhabi Securities
Exchange, in his house in Al Tawiya region in Al Ain City.
The
councils tackled various aspects and topics, such as traffic and radars
deployed in the city; the legal speed limit on internal and external
roads of the city and in front of schools; domestic workers and their
impact on families and households; and how banks threat old people.
Participants also discussed security, traffic and social
awareness-raising initiatives in schools, institutes, universities and
for other community members. During the discussions, participants
provided constructive solutions and proposals that will contribute to
improve the services provided by the different Community institutions
for citizens and residents.
