ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates - Monday, July 22nd 2013 [ME NewsWire]
A
delegation from Malaysia reviewed the best practices and applications
carried out by the Police Attaché Office at the UAE Embassy in the
United Kingdom.
Police Attaché Major Dr. Mohamed Ahmed Al Breiki
had met Prof. Dr. Mohad Hajj Mohamed Nour, the Malaysian cultural
Attaché; Hajj Abdul Wahhab Youssef, education Attaché at the Malaysian
High Commission; along with the accompanying delegation at the Police
Attaché Office’s headquarters in London.
Major Al Breiki and his
academic team gave the Malaysian delegation a complete overview of the
Attaché Office’s tasks in the service of scholarship students,
delegations, and patients. He tackled the academic aspects and various
services provided by the Police Attaché’s Office to scholarship students
that start before their arrival to the UK; all through the processes of
acceptance and admissions, housing and direct academic supervision,
which is closely, associated with periodic detailed reports from the
various universities and institutes of higher education that the
students attend.
Moreover, the Academic Department provided a
detailed explanation on the modern database designed specifically for
this purpose. The delegation expressed his admiration with the Police
Attaché Office’s distinguished experience, pointing out that it's worth
studying and taking it into account.
Afterwards, an open debate
took place, and included several proposals and ideas in the context of
strengthening cooperation between the Police Attaché and the Malaysian
High Commission. For his part, the Police Attaché praised the prominent
role played by the Malaysian High Commission, which manages and handles
the affairs of 17000 Malaysian scholarship students in the UK and
Ireland. At the end of the meeting, commemorative gifts were exchanged
between the two parties, and snapshots of the visiting delegation were
taken.
It is noteworthy that the Police Attaché Office in London
provides supervisory and follow-up services and facilities to all
scholarship students or patients sent for treatment, from the MOI’s
employees and its various agencies. It also provides an escort service
for the various delegations assigned with official missions in the
United Kingdom and Ireland.
