Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates - Sunday, July 7th 2013 [ME NewsWire]

“The Vehicles and Drivers Licensing Department’s use of the electronic archiving system in Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, Sharjah, Ajman and Umm Al Quwain enables citizens, residents and institutions to complete transactions with a quick turnaround time," according to Colonel Suhail Al Khaili, Head of the Electronic Archiving Committee at Abu Dhabi Police.  He added, “The system saves time and effort for the public as well as the employees; it eliminates the need for paper documents in transactions and contributes to the improvement and development of services.”

The electronic archiving service was introduced to reflect the Ministry of Interior’s vision to curtail the use of paper documents to complete the public’s transactions in those departments.

Colonel Suhail Al Khaili said that the data electronic archiving system provides users with easy access to reference files, and alleviates storage requirements as paper files occupy large areas in designated places; expenses are also reduced. He confirmed the data’s accuracy and validity in the system; the e-archiving system is considered to be one of the most important tools transforming data into useful information to provide special services to the public.

He said that the system is in line with the government’s vision to augment performance development to a higher level, and to follow modern methods to provide the best services to the public. This system also allows the department’s personnel to carry out their work with a high level of efficiency.
