The Juveniles’ Ramadan Sports competitions and events organized on the occasion of the Holy Month of Ramadan kicked off at Al Mafraq Juvenile Care Center. It is noteworthy that the program features football, table tennis, and PlayStation Championships.
Brigadier Ahmed Mohammed Nehkairah, Head of Human Rights Department in the Ministry of Interior, and Chairman of the Juveniles Care Center Steering Committee indicated that these activities complement the Center’s events and activities as it plays a leading role in juveniles’ rehabilitation and welfare. Furthermore, Brigadier Nehkairah underscored the importance and effectiveness of these activities that promotes values and skills and fill the juveniles’ leisure time with sports and entertaining purposeful events.
Colonel Dr. Abdullah Muhammed Bu Hindi, Director of Al Mafraq Juvenile Care Center inaugurated the tournament in the presence of Youssef Mohammed Al Naqbi, Director of the Boys Section, as well as a number of officers and supervisors at the Centre.
“This tournament aims to bring joy and happiness to the juveniles’ hearts, in line with the spirituality of this Holy Month of Ramadan. It stems from our keenness to rehabilitate juveniles, and motivate them to practice sport activities for their great impact on the health,” pointed out Colonel Bu Hindi.
For his part, Sufian Abdullah, Sports Supervisor, stressed the keenness of the Sports Committee at the Juvenile Care Center to organize best practices and activities to benefit juveniles, and rehabilitate them physically in a proper way, commensurate with their age.
After that, the sponsor of the event cut the ribbon announcing the launch of the Ramadan sporting competitions and events. Moreover, he shook hands with all the children, thus putting a smile on the faces of everyone present, and creating an atmosphere of friendship and love.
