The
Human Resources Directorate General, at the Abu Dhabi Police General
Headquarters (GHQ), represented by the Department of Education and the
two police attachés in London and Washington has obtained 14
organizational excellence awards locally, regionally and
internationally, as follows: Abu Dhabi Police GHQ ranked second and won
the Silver Stevie Awards, for the “Best Government Organization”; the
Department of Education won the Best Scholarship Program at “Asia’s
Training and Development Awards” in Singapore, and the CSR (ISO 26000)
certification, as the first department at the Abu Dhabi Police General
Headquarters to implement the corporate social responsibility standards.
Lieutenant Colonel Khaled Abdullah Al Khouri, Head of the Education
Department won the “Innovative Leader Award for Outstanding Contribution
to Education” from the “World Education Congress”, as well as the
Middle East Future Leaders Excellence Award for Outstanding Contribution
to Knowledge Development and Education in Dubai. The Department of
Education team ranked third and won the Bronze Stevie Awards for the
Best Human Resources Team.
The UAE Embassy’s Police Attaché
Office in London, United Kingdom ranked first and won the Gold Stevie
Award for the Best Support Team and ranked second, winning the Silver
Stevie Award for the Best Management Team. The UAE Embassy’s Police
Attaché Office in Washington DC, USA ranked third and won the Bronze
Stevie Award for the “Best Government Organization”. Captain Abdulaziz
Al Shareef, Police Attaché in Washington DC, USA, ranked third and won
the Bronze Stevie Award for the “Executive of the Year - Non-Profit or
Government Organizations as part of the Stevie American Business Awards.
The UAE Embassy’s Police Attaché Office in Washington DC, USA also
ranked third and won the Bronze Stevie Award for the “Best Customer
Service Department”; it also achieved third place, winning the Bronze
Stevie Award for the “Best Government Organization” at the Stevie
American Business Awards, and the “Best Customer Team”.
Major
General Mohammed bin Al Awadhi Al Menhali, Director General of Human
Resources in Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters, stressed that the
success achieved by the department is a direct result of the commitment
of the Human Resources staff members (military and civilian staff) to
achieve excellence across all of their positions. He added, “Individual
achievement, excellence and personal innovation are the cornerstone of
success of any department. This cannot be achieved without the support
and assistance between colleagues, and without a nurturing environment
conducive to creativity and success.”
Major General Al Menhali
hailed the continuous support and encouragement from the government to
attain the most prominent and prestigious positions, (thanks to the
grace of Allah Almighty). He congratulated the higher and exceptional
leadership, for making the impossible possible, which is clearly evident
on the ground. He also noted that the services provided by the
government are witnessing quantum leaps, in terms of achieving efficient
performance, customer satisfaction, and ease of access to these
services.
Lieutenant Colonel Khaled Abdullah Al Khouri, Head of
the Education Department, said that excellence has become a corporate
culture that is deep rooted within the mentality of Abu Dhabi Police’s
Human Resources’ staff members. “Such achievement requires us to double
the efforts and make additional contribution to our generous country,
as well as to utilize all available resources to return the favor and
position the country at the forefront of world countries in all fields,”
