ADP Ambulance Team Resuscitate 4-year Old Emirati Child

Thanks to divine intervention and to the efforts of the Abu Dhabi Police Ambulance medical staff, a 4-year old Emirati child was saved. The ADP Ambulance medical staff performed a cardiopulmonary resuscitation until normal heartbeat and breathing were restored and all vital signs returned. The team also provided full medical care to the child on board of the ambulance until he arrived to Al-Rahba hospital for further treatments.

The child had sustained a serious injury in a run-over accident that took place at Al-Reef Villas’ area. An ambulance rushed immediately to the scene, where the medical team had to perform a cardiopulmonary resuscitation and provide the injured child with necessary first aid.

Lieutenant Colonel Mohammed Al Ameri, Head of the Emergency and Public Safety Department at the General Directorate of Central Operations, Abu Dhabi Police, said: “The timely arrival of the ambulance to the scene of the accident upon receiving the report has allowed the medical team to save the child, as they rapidly delivered the cardiopulmonary resuscitation within the first moments of cardiac arrest.”

He underscored the vital importance for medical teams to arrive as quickly as possible to accident sites, in order to reduce the risks and prevent complications, by providing the necessary first aid to the injured to stabilize their condition before transferring them to the nearest hospital. “We are very keen to provide the best, most advanced services to achieve our strategic goals, in line with the UAE 2020 plan,” he added.
