Al Ain Traffic Section Executes Awareness Initiative about the Dangers of Not Following the Obligatory Path

Al Ain Traffic and Patrols Section at the Abu Dhabi Police Traffic and Patrols Directorate organized an awareness initiative for drivers. The initiative focused on the dangers that light vehicles pose for other road users when not following the obligatory path.

Major Matar Abdullah Al Muhairi, Acting Head of Al Ain Traffic Section said that the initiative falls within the framework of the awareness programs that aim to limit traffic accidents and reduce road fatalities. It also translates the general strategy of the Ministry of Interior (MoI) and the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters that aims to make roads a more secured place.

“The penalty for the violation of not following the obligatory path is AED 200 and two black points,” Major Al Muhairi explained. He also urged drivers to adhere to the traffic rules and regulations in order to maintain their and other people’s safety.

Concluding, Major Al Muhairi asserted the importance of following lanes especially while taking left turns, noting that not adhering to this rule will result in tragic traffic accidents.
