The
Ministry of Interior (MoI) honored the child, Mira, the first customer
and citizen of the UAE to use its smartphone application service. She
used this service to submit her passport renewal application and enter
her ID code.
Major General Khalifa Hareb Al Khaili, Acting
Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of the Interior for
Naturalization, Residency and Ports Affairs, handed Mira a certificate
of appreciation along with a commemorative gift, wishing her good luck
and excellence in his office today, Sunday.
Major General Al
Khaili said, “The Smartphone application services save time and effort
for UAE citizens. These convenient applications embody the strategy of
the MoI by achieving and providing the highest levels of secure services
to customers who need only use their Emirates ID and follow the easy,
simple, and quick steps. This strategy aims to improve performance
indicators, and guarantee fast services by providing updates for the
smart applications to add more services and simplify procedures.”
The
honoring ceremony was attended by Brigadier Saeed Rakan Al Rashedi,
Head of Naturalization Department at the Naturalization, Residency and
Ports Affairs Sector.
