As
part of the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters’ sports program
organized by the Strategy and Performance Development Department, the
12th Futsal Tournament kicked off yesterday evening at Aisha Bint Abi
Baker Secondary School. The tournament will continue until May 15th.
Inaugurated
by Captain Jamal Al Saadi, National Teams and Competitions Branch
Manager at the Strategy and Performance Development Department, the
tournament features the participation of 16 teams from the Abu Dhabi
Police’s departments. During the first day of the tournament six matches
took place, where the Operations team won against the Diwan team 9/0;
the Emergency team won against the Police Schools 4/0; and the Community
Police Department team defeated the Transport Police 9/1.
Captain
Al Saadi indicated that the tournament highlights the Strategy and
Performance Development Department’s commitment to organize a variety of
sport championships and competitions to achieve wider participation of
all categories of police staff members, as football attracts a large
category of employees and football lovers.
