Lt. General H.H Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Minister, lauded the success of the Bahraini security forces in thwarting a criminal attempt to undermine the security and stability of the sisterly Kingdom of Bahrain. He said that this achievement represents a security gain and is testament to policing excellence for all GCC member countries, given that the security and stability of Gulf Cooperation Council is closely related to security and stability of its member states.
These remarks were made by His Highness Sheikh Saif during a telephone call on Tuesday with His Highness Lieutenant General Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Bahrain's Minister of Interior. His Highness Sheikh Saif expressed his sincere congratulations for this achievement that marks a milestone for all GCC countries and promotes its stability, security and well-being.
His Highness Sheikh Saif added: “We stand united, hand in hand, against any attempt to undermine the Renaissance, progress and prosperity that has been attained thanks to the rule of justice, security and safety, as well as the spirit of cooperation and solidarity between the leaders, governments and people of the GCC countries; as they strive to remain at the forefront of the most prosperous and stable communities in the world.”
His Highness Sheikh Saif reiterated the UAE’s Ministry of Interior unstinting support of its Bahraini counterpart in its efforts to thwart any terrorist attempt aimed at disturbing peace and security of the kingdom and to intimidate its innocent people. He expressed his confidence in the efficiency of the Bahraini security forces in maintaining the level of safety and security enjoyed by the Kingdom of Bahrain and all countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council, “by the grace of Allah Almighty and the wisdom of GCC countries’ leaders.” He also commended the cohesion and unity of the GCC people against any attempts at undermining the security and stability of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries and people.
Bahrain had announced on Monday that it has recently foiled 4 separate plans to carry out terrorist acts, and established a close link between them. The UAE Ministry of Interior strongly condemned the terrorist plots that the Bahraini authorities have skillfully and efficiently thwarted.
