FanZone Exhibition Concludes at the Abu Dhabi Corniche

The FanZone Exhibition concludes at the Abu Dhabi Corniche amidst an unprecedented scale of attendance from the public, which participated in the activities and programs of the Abu Dhabi Police. The event ran in parallel to the awareness campaign that the Security Media Department at the General Secretariat of the Office of H.H. Deputy Prime Minister & Minister of Interior is conducting under the slogan: “The Road has its Ethics and Speed has its Track.” The exhibition was also part of the current preparations for The Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, which will be held at the Yas Marina Circuit from 1-3 November 2013.

Lieutenant Colonel Saeed Al Khajah, Deputy Director of Tactical Affairs and the Security Media Department at the General Secretariat of the Office of H.H. Deputy Prime Minister & Minister of Interior, praised the public’s enthusiasm to participate in the exhibition’s activities. He also indicated that the Abu Dhabi Police has kept pace with the Formula 1 event by increasing awareness of traffic safety through the slogan: “Road Safety is Everyone's Responsibility.”

He also stressed the ongoing inclination of the Abu Dhabi Police to communicate with different community segments, which is a part of its strategic priorities working to augment safety and security levels in society. It also aims to achieve the goals of the police and security systems by employing modern and innovative methods.

As part of the FanZone events, the Abu Dhabi Police showcased its traffic awareness patrols and distributed flyers and awareness publications.

The police also displayed its auto simulation system to acquaint visitors with safe driving methods in addition to presenting a Smart car to teach traffic roles and systems, and traffic safety procedures to children over the age of 10 years.

It also acquainted parents in real time with the importance of installing baby seats in the backseats of vehicles and the significance of using seatbelts.

Visitors of the FanZone valued the ongoing efforts of the Abu Dhabi Police to keep pace with events through its participation in the FanZone Exhibition activities. The visitors also commended the Abu Dhabi Police’s commitment to participate in such events with educational brochures and souvenir gifts. This is a testament to the relationship between the police and members of the public that extends beyond maintaining security and stability into a partnership of spreading the law respect culture.
