Western Region Police Prepare for Eid Al-Adha

The Western Region Police Directorate at Abu Dhabi Police Headquarters prepared a comprehensive plan to undertake the necessary measures during Eid Al-Adha. These procedures aim at promoting services presented to the public in order to ensure a safe and tranquil holiday.

Colonel Ojeil Ali Abdullah Al Junaibi, Director of the Western Region Police Directorate, mentioned that security patrols will be concentrated in the Western Region, and Community Police patrols will be spread out at parks and public gardens to educate the public, help them when necessary, and preserve general tranquility.

He added that as part of the plan, police and security patrols are at the ready to interfere when necessary at public gathering locations, especially on beaches, public gardens and parks. This will increase the people’s confidence and tranquility. Moreover, personnel in the Directorate and Police stations will be ready to provide assistance when and where necessary as well.

Colonel Al Junaibi called upon the public under the “Your Safety” campaign and the awareness initiative launched by the Abu Dhabi Police to preserve safety and security by educating children and teenagers about the necessity to refrain from playing with fireworks at public gardens and parks.  Avoiding fireworks is necessary due to the annoyance and health problems it causes.

He warned mothers and beach goers to watch out for children and teenagers to avoid the possibility of drowning. He noted that it is essential to remain vigilant and watch them at beaches and pools; he reiterated that police authorities are prepared to provide help for everyone at every time and place.
