Saif bin Zayed Mourns Death of Emirati Officer in Bahrain Bomb Blast

ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates - Monday, March 3rd 2014 [ME NewsWire]

Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior sadly announced that Emirati police officer First Lieutenant Tareq Mohamed Al Shehhi has died along with two members of the Bahraini police force while confronting a terrorist group in the village of Daih. The three men were performing their national duty of maintaining order in Bahrain, within the joint GCC security cooperation agreement.

His Highness Sheikh Saif strongly condemned this heinous act; stressing the need to fight terrorism in all its forms, wherever it exists.

Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, expressed his heartfelt condolences to the families of the martyr First Lieutenant Tareq Mohamed Al Shehhi and his fellow officers, praying Allah Almighty to rest their souls in eternal peace and to grant their families patience and solace to bear the loss. He also wished a speedy recovery to those wounded in the terrorist act.
