ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates - Thursday, February 27th 2014 [ME NewsWire]
Brigadier
Hamad Ajlan Al Amimi, Director of the Al Ain Police Directorate, met
Mohammed Saeed Faraj, Director of Anti-counterfeiting and Institutions
Training in the UAE, and Gary Theobalds, Regional Safety & Security
Manager at American Express Middle East & North Africa, at his
office on Thursday.
The visit came in appreciation of the
continuous efforts made by Al Ain Police to arrest the two suspects who
bought jewelry with fake credit cards from various shops in Al Ain and
Dubai, which were worth AED 150,000. They did this with help from their
partners in an Arab country, where they had forged personal identity
cards and credit cards. When they were arrested, it was revealed that
they had nine forged identity cards and nine credit cards.
Brigadier
Al Amimi expressed his appreciation of the police members’ efforts and
their sense of responsibility that has helped maintain the security and
stability of Al Ain City and has helped protect the public’s property
and preserve their rights. At the end of the visit, American Express
gave the Director of the Al Ain Police Directorate a certificate of
recognition and appreciation, in the presence of Colonel Hamad Suhail Al
Rashidi, Deputy Director of Al Ain Police Directorate, and a number of
officers from the directorate.
