Al Ain Traffic and Patrols Section set up an awareness-raising pavilion at the recreational heritage exhibition organized by Al Ain Municipality on the sidelines of Tel Al Sad Festival’s events and tournaments. The festival features myriad of cultural, traditional, and entertaining sports activities and shows.
Major Salah Abdullah Al Hemairi, Chief of Al Ain Traffic Section at the Traffic and Patrols Directorate in Abu Dhabi Police noted that at the Traffic Section’s pavilion, awareness-raising leaflets were distributed to visitors of various ages and nationalities. “Interactive sessions were organized to provide comprehensive traffic awareness by answering visitors’ questions and queries, in addition to a screening session of traffic-related documentaries. A number of traffic-themed gifts were also distributed to visitors,” indicated Major Al Hemairi.
For his part, First Lieutenant Nasser Khalifa Al Shamesi, Acting Public Relations Branch Manager at the Al Ain Traffic Section stressed that this participation is in pursuance of the section’s commitment to enhance community-based partnership at various government and private events, to provide traffic awareness with a view to achieve a comprehensive traffic culture.
Furthermore, he noted that the section displayed a number of its vehicles at the festival, such as the Traffic Education Patrol that provides traffic awareness to families. “The section also displayed its Polaris quad bike used to educate quad bike riders who enjoy riding these bikes in desert tracks, in addition to its Chevy Camaro sports patrol car, which attracts young people that visit these events and exhibitions. This aims to enhance commitment to traffic laws and regulations,” added First Lieutenant Al Shamesi.
