ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates - Monday, March 24th 2014 [ME NewsWire]

The Decision-Making Support Center at Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters, has recently released 10,000 summarized copies of the novel “Suhail,” and printed 300 copies of the novel to give to staff members of the Ministry of Interior, because of the novel’s beautiful meaning that encourages the spirit of sacrifice for the country.

Dr. Abdulla Ali Al Taboor, Emirati history researcher and author of the novel “Suhail”, welcomed Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters’ initiative to print the novel’s summary and distribute it among the staff members at the Ministry of Interior. He said that this very noble initiative set up by the police leadership encourages the value of sacrifice for the pride of the homeland; keeping its flag flying high.

He added: “This initiative encourages writers and authors to enrich the intellectual scene with this kind of writing, which represents different aspects of sacrifice for the country.” He pointed out that the novel depicts the story of the country’s first martyr Officer Salem bin Suhail Bin Khamis. The story details how he defended the Greater Tunb Island prior to the union, which is a very realistic and honest portrayal of sacrifice for the country.

He explained that collecting, verifying, and studying the historical facts took a very long time, as the historical sources were a strong key foundation to build the timeline, events, characters, and locations of the novel.

Dr. Abdulla Ali Al Taboor, dedicated the novel “Suhail” to the memory of Fatima bint Hilal, the mother of the first martyr Salem bin Suhail, the people of Greater Tunb Island who lived through tragedy, and all of the free people of our time.
