Abu Dhabi Residency Directorate Honors 60 People for Excellence

The General Directorate of Residency & Foreigners' Affairs honored 60 officers, non-commissioned officers, individuals, civilians, and female staff participating in the Ministry of Interior’s Management Excellence Award in its third stage (Director General stage), at a celebration organized by the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Abu Dhabi, at the Duset Thani hotel in Abu Dhabi.
Colonel Salim Ali Al Qattam Al Zaabi, Director General of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Abu Dhabi, said in a speech he made during the ceremony, that the Ministry of Interior’s Excellence Award complements our approach and our commitment to promoting the culture of quality and excellence, starting from the strategy of the Department of Naturalization, Residency and Ports, that emerges from the Ministry of Interior’s s strategy that aims to support scientific research , and encourage studies that can elevate the levels of performance and competence of researchers and scholars, under the guidance of the police leadership.
He added that the award encourages scientific research and security studies to keep up with development and modernization pursued by the ministry by using technology and modern systems in the areas of security work. He explained that the cycle of development and innovation can only be completed through the qualified and highly trained human resources that can use and employ these technologies in the best way possible to improve the quality of police work.
He stressed his belief that the human element is the key element in institutional productivity; and emphasized his efforts to lift the Department of Naturalization, Residency and Ports Affairs employees’ productivity to the highest possible levels of competence, and stimulate them to be creative to reach the department’s strategic goals.
He also explained that excellence in any filed is hard work and requires outstanding efforts and continuous giving, based on creativity and serving the public with devotion, as excellence is a seed that needs to be planted and cared for on daily basis with collective effort; this seed’s harvest may not come quickly and we may not see the results until many seasons and years have passed. However, the right of the excellent is reserved, and its name, words, and guidance are deeply engraved. He thanked the excellent winners because they did not hold back with their time and efforts to complete their managerial duties with excellence. He said that the award is nothing but an appreciation of their dedication, and he congratulated all the winners wishing them luck and success.
First Warrant Officer Amnah Mohamed Al Bloushi made a speech on behalf of the participants. She expressed her deepest thanks and appreciation to Director Colonel Salim Al Zaabi. She emphasized that this excellence is a result of his care and a fruit of his efforts and instructions and his non-stop efforts made to develop the work and raise the level of competence of all workers to provide excellent services to the public. She also thanked everyone that made this achievement possible.
“Shaer Al Million” TV show participant, Poet Mathkar bin Fahed Al Harthi, recited a poem, and the audience watched a documentary about the government summit that was held recently in Dubai.
At the end of the ceremony Colonel Salim Al Qattam Al Zaabi accompanied by Colonel Yusuf Khouri, Deputy Director General of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Abu Dhabi, presented the awards to the winners, and also honored the winners of the award’s first stage of the (Director General) category.
The celebration was attended by Colonel Yusuf Khouri, Deputy Director General, department managers, and a number of officers, non-commissioned officers, individuals, civilians, and female staff members from the General Directorate of Residency & Foreigners' Affairs in Abu Dhabi.
