ADP Organizes Second Crime Prevention Conference Taking Place Tomorrow

Under the patronage of Lieutenant General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters, represented by the Department of Social Support Centers of Abu Dhabi Police, is organizing the second Crime Prevention Conference, under the slogan “The Family…Prevention and Protection.” The 3-day conference will kick off tomorrow at the Fairmont Bab Al Bahr in Abu Dhabi.
Brigadier Najim Abdullah Al Hosni, Director of the Social Support Centers Department of Abu Dhabi Police, said that the conference embodies Abu Dhabi Police’s strategy that aims to garner the trust of the community, and provide them with exceptional services using the approach of partnership and communication. He said: “The conference will feature well-known speakers, from the UAE and beyond, that are experts on early childhood development, families, interventions, and public policy.”
Al Hosani added: “The conference will address three main subjects. Today, we have two sessions. The first session will be chaired by Major General Nasser Lakhrebani Al Nuaimi, Secretary General of the Office of HH Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior. The first session will review and discuss two papers. The first paper addresses the importance of the investment in early childhood and will be presented by Dr. Mary Young from the USA. Samia Kazi, COO of Arabian Child and Tariq Kashmiri, Chairman of Arabian Child, will present the second paper that will discuss the benefits of investing in early childhood education.
The second session will be chaired by Dr. Mozza Obeid Ghabash, head of the Rewaq Ousha bint Hussein Cultural Center. The session will review and discuss two papers. The first paper will address the benefits of investments in social service and domestic visits programs. Dr. Geraldine McDonald from the UK will present the first paper. The second paper, which will presented by Len Biton from the UK, will discuss motherhood, and its benefits for the economy and the people.
The second day will feature two sessions. The first session, which is chaired by Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Salah Al Ghoul, Director of Law Respect Culture Bureau, the General Secretariat of the Office of H.H Deputy Prime Minister & Minister of Interior, will feature three papers. Johanna Lamitschka from Finland will present the first paper that will address the Finish experience of investments in motherhood. The second paper, which will be presented by Mariam Al Muntheri from the General Women's Union in  Abu Dhabi, addresses ‘the national strategy for motherhood and childhood- reality and ambition.’ The financial consultant, Salah Al Halian, will present the third paper under the title ‘Investment in motherhood and childhood- How women invest their time to educate their children.’
The second session, which will chaired by Dr. Yousuf Alsharif, Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Al Bayan Center for Studies & Researches, will feature two papers. The first paper will address the role of institutions in supporting efficient motherhood. It will be presented by consultant Mohammed Saeed Al Neyadi, from the Family Development Foundation in Abu Dhabi. Dr. Sami Abdulqawi from the Abu Dhabi Rehabilitation Center will present the second paper, under the title ‘psychological and social child development and its relation to behavior disorders.’ At the end of the event, a workshop to discuss a number of topics addressed at the conference will take place.
The first workshop on the third day will be chaired by Lt. Colonel Dr. Khalfan Sultan Al Kendi, Acting Manager of Employees Affairs Department at the Human Resources General Directorate at the Abu Dhabi General Headquarters. The session will feature two papers. Dr. Mansour Abdul Hamid from the Abu Dhabi Rehabilitation Center will present the first paper under the title ‘Parents’ Ways’. The second paper, which will be presented by Dr. Jennifer Moore from the Health Authority Abu Dhabi (HAAD), will discuss ‘giving our children the best start through motherhood investment.’
Colonel Mohammed Ahmed Al Hosani will chair the second workshop that will review and discuss three papers. The first paper will address ‘Parents’ involvement and children’s behavior adjustment to adapt during the first year at kindergarten- Abu Dhabi Experience.’ It will be presented by Dr. Masoud Abdullah Badri from the Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC). Dr. Yousuf Alsharif will present the second paper under the title ‘Motherhood and its role in crime prevention.’ The third paper, which will be presented by Dr. Jonathan McAuley from Abu Dhabi Police’s Social Support Centers Department, will be presented under the title ‘Empowering success opportunity- conference results.’ At the end of the conference, the conference’s results and recommendations will be announced.
