Major
General Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, Director General of Central Operations
at the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ, recently attended the graduation ceremony
of the fifth, sixth and seventh basics courses at the Civil Defense
Academy.
Major General Al Raisi reviewed the field performances
carried out by the graduates; featuring some of the skills they acquired
during the courses, notably, rescue operations from upper floors,
firefighting, and dealing with road accidents swiftly and skillfully.
In
his address on the occasion, Lieutenant Colonel Sultan Saqr Al Suwaidi,
Director of the Academy, stressed the importance of these courses that
reflect the attention and continuous care devoted by the Higher
Leadership to the civil defense’s human cadres, to promote quality
performance. This is achieved through distinguished training programs,
and keeping pace with the latest developments in various areas, in order
to protect human beings, the homeland and achievements. Furthermore, he
congratulated the graduates and thanked all individuals who contributed
to advance and develop the training programs.
On the same note,
Rashid Ali Al Matrooshi delivered a speech on behalf of the graduates,
expressing their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the Leadership for
providing continuous training opportunities for civil defense human
cadres, equipping them with practical experiences and providing them
with all their needs in the field to perform their duties to the
fullest. He also promised the Leadership that he and his colleagues will
exert all possible efforts to protect the community and its property.
Later
on, Major General Ahmed Al Raisi, honored the top achievers of the
courses, namely, in the fifth basics course: Abdul Rahman Jassem Al
Baloushi; Sultan Maayouf Al Kaabi; and Mohammed Mahmood Al Bastaki, who
ranked first, second and third respectively. In the sixth basics course,
top achievers were as follows: Abdullah Salim Al Wahaibi; Khalifa Abdul
Rahman Al Bairaq; and Majid Ahmed Al Kaabi, who ranked first, second
and third respectively. In the seventh basics course, top achievers
were: Abdullah Abdulrahman Al Marzouqi; Majed Abdullah Majid; and Rashid
Mohammed Rashid Al Shamesi, who ranked first, second and third
respectively. Abdul Rahman Maayouf Al Kaabi, the graduate who obtained
the highest total score in the three courses was also recognized.
It is noteworthy that the ceremony was attended by heads of departments and a number of senior officers.
