AFL Acquires TCC Group
Acquisition Expands AFL’s Services Offering into European Market
SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Tuesday, May 24th 2011 [ME NewsWire]
(BUSINESS WIRE)-- AFL has signed an agreement to acquire TCC Group, a leading telecommunications network implementation and integration provider based in Bracknell, United Kingdom. TCC Group will join the AFL global portfolio to provide communications services to the European markets.
“This is a key growth opportunity for AFL as this acquisition enhances our engineering, material logistics and installation capabilities, enabling us to expand and serve major telecommunications companies in Europe,” said Jody Gallagher, President and CEO of AFL. “We are also pleased that Jas Gill, TCC Group’s founder, will remain with the company to help us ensure that the transaction is beneficial to TCC’s customers.”
TCC Group has experience in designing, building, installing and maintaining next generation networks for a number of large telecommunications customers. This acquisition expands AFL’s capability to provide customers with copper and fibre technology services from the switch site to the customer premise. With AFL’s global portfolio, this expertise is further enhanced into new and larger markets.

AFL manufactures fibre optic cables and components and provides design, project management and installation services from the USA, UK and Germany. TCC Group will continue to operate from existing facilities around the UK. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
