DP WORLD'S 'TAQDEER' PROGRAMME HONOURS EXCEPTIONAL EMPLOYEES FOR EXCELLENCE AT WORK
Investing in human assets is part of port operator's institutional culture says Jamal Bin Thaniah

For the second consecutive year, premier regional port operator DP World,UAE Region has honoured a number of employees for their exceptional contributions to business excellence during 2010 under its unique “Taqdeer” initiative.
During a ceremony attended by the company’s senior executives and staff, Jamal Majid Bin Thaniah, Joint Vice Chairman, DP World, and Mohammed Al Muallem, Senior Vice President and Managing Director DP World, UAE Region, distributed certificates and awards to 75 employees from the port operator's different departments.
The awards fall under two categories. The first covers self-nominations for People Development Award, Excellence in Service Award, Outstanding Project Award and Self Development Award. Employees can nominate themselves for honours based on specific criteria. The second category comprises nominations made by the HR Department for Outstanding Performance Award, Outstanding Trainee Award and Outstanding Trainer Award. All the winners are chosen by specially appointed panels of judges.
