MoI’s Child Protection Centre Organizes “Nurturing Children for a Developed Nation” Activity

Under the auspices of Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, the Ministry of Interior’s Child
Protection Center recently organized an activity under the title “Nurturing Children for a Developed Nation”. The activity that took place at the Police
Officers Club in Abu Dhabi was held in cooperation and coordination with the Social Support Centers Department at Abu Dhabi Police, with the
participation of Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC), and Irtiqaa Center for Talent Development.
The activity was attended by Major Dr. Mohammed Khalifa Al Ali, Director of the Ministry of Interior’s Child Protection Centre, representatives of co-
sponsors, as well as a number of families and stakeholders interested in protecting children’s rights.
The activity was designed to educate mothers and attendees on the importance of raising their children properly, for in turn, they will build and develop
their country. The initiative reflects the interest of the Ministry for ensuring that each child receives attention, care, and a proper upbringing.
Major Al Ali stressed the considerable attention dedicated by the Higher Committee for Child Protection, led by Major General Dr. Nasser Lakhrebani Al
Nuaimi, Secretary General of the Office of HH Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, to ensuring high quality of life for the Emirati community.
“The Committee endeavors to make the UAE one of the best countries in the world in terms of safety and security, and to provide children with a safe
and child-friendly environment to live in, protected from all types of accidents,” he added.
Adding further, the Director of the Ministry of Interior’s Child Protection Centre highlighted the significant efforts exerted by the Ministry in providing
outstanding services to enhance public confidence in the police organization. “The ministry also supports various child protection-related projects and
initiatives, and provides qualified human cadres that are highly trained in the field of child protection,” he said. Moreover, he underlined the commitment
of the Higher Committee for Child Protection to making the UAE a hub of excellence in the field of child protection worldwide, in cooperation with
strategic partners.
The activity included a theatrical performance directed by psychologist Zainab Daoud, and presented by students Mohra Al Dhaheri from the Emirates
National School and Hamad Al Alawi from Ibn Sina Elementary School. The play highlights the importance of parental attention and care for children. The
activity also included a song praising the intense mothers’ love.
Educational Consultant, Hoda Al Ali, Director of tIrtiqaa Center for Talent Development, underscored the importance of taking care of children and
nurturing them because they form the cornerstone of the country and the pillars of its future. She made this statement during a specialized training
course tackling the proper tools and fundamentals of children’s upbringing, for in turn; they will build and develop their country.
Towards the end of the activity, the Director of the Ministry of Interior’s Child Protection Centre honored the participants and handed them certificates of
appreciation and commemorative shields.
