The
Cultural and Social Activity Section, Clubs Department, Abu Dhabi
Police GHQ, organized an open day on Hajj and Umrah rituals for more
than 250 students of Abu Dhabi Police officers’ children.
Colonel
Saif Al Shamesi, Chief of Cultural and Social Activity Section, Club
Department, said, “This open day helps to instill religious culture in
the soul of children and promote the principles of our righteous
religion in a religious atmosphere filled with a spirit of reverence and
tolerance. It also included practical training to acquaint children
with the proper way to perform Hajj and Umrah. It also inculcates good
morals and raises awareness among officers’ children on this important
religious duty, which represents an important aspect of the Islamic
religion.”
The open day included a number of religious activities
and practical trainings on Hajj and Umrah rituals. It also featured a
religious lecture delivered by religious preacher Al Hassan Al Ahmed
from the Community Police Department, who explained the conditions and
etiquette of the Hajj and Umrah rituals in a simple method commensurate
with their age. Children were also acquainted with the four basic
pillars of Hajj: the “Ihram”, staying in Arafat, the Tawaf Al Ifada and
the Sa’I (walk) between Al-Safa and Al-Marwah; as well as the various
steps to be followed by pilgrims during the performance of the rites of
Hajj.
