Major General Al Nuaimi: Modern police achievements owe to HH Sheikh Saif’s vision ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates - Wednesday, September 3rd 2014 [ME NewsWire]
Major General Nasser Lakhrebani Al Nuaimi, Secretary General of the Office of HH Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, said that all modern and consecutive police achievements are inspired by the vision of Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, in addition to his diligent follow-up and support of all endeavors that highlight the civilized image of police work, as an international role model.
The General Secretary pointed out that His Highness aspires to promote the UAE Police, and to position them at the forefront of the world’s most prestigious police institutions, in terms of their ability to sustain their own training needs and become self-sufficient in developing staff members’ skills according to specialized innovative programs that ensure its leadership in various specialized fields.
This statement was made by Major General Nasser Lakhrebani Al Nuaimi at the graduation ceremony of the ADP third Security Support Foundation Course, which was held on Wednesday, at the Forensic Evidence Department`s hall. He said, “People wish to see professional policemen, who are both skilful and conscious of the requirements of their job. Such distinguished individuals are also instrumental to advance the cultural development witnesses by our country.” Major General Lakhrebani felicitated the graduates and wished them success in serving the country and its people.
For his part, Lieutenant Colonel Khaled Al Shamesi, Chief of the Security Support Section, said: “The section fully supports the comprehensive development approach set by the ADP General Headquarters and the priorities of its strategic plan, such as preventing crimes, promoting social trust, safety, and security, and making society safer.” Lieutenant Colonel Al Shamesi praised the constant support and attention provided by HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, throughout the various stages of the Security Support Section’s establishment and development. “All staff members take pride in the generous support of His Highness, which motivates them to be more efficient, show dedication in their work, and to successfully pass their training programs,” Lieutenant Colonel Al Shamesi said.
In conclusion, Lieutenant Colonel Al Shamesi noted: “We always bear in mind Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s wise words, ‘We shall not settle for good police performance, we seek outstanding police performance, which keeps pace with the country’s prosperity and progress, thanks to the efforts of its wise leadership’”.
The ceremony was attended by Major General Khalil Dawood Badran, Director General of Finance and Services; Brigadier Fares Al Farsi, Director General of Guards and Special Tasks; as well as Deputy Directors General, Heads of ADP Departments and a number of senior officers.
