MoI Employees Trained to Use Creativity for Development

ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates - Thursday, February 6th 2014 [ME NewsWire]

The Leadership Development and Creativity Center at the General Secretariat of the Office of H.H. Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior, celebrated the conclusion of a course titled ‘Using Creativity for Development.’ The course, which falls under the Talented Care Program, had 20 participants from different headquarters and general directorates at the ministry. The course was held at the Concorde Fujairah Hotel.

Major General Dr. Abdul Quddous Al Obaidly, Director General of Total Quality at Dubai Police, accompanied by Dr. Omar Ibrahim Al Ali, Chief of Competency  Assessment Section at the center, distributed the certificates to the course’s participants.

The program is one of the first initiatives of its kind to be adopted by a federal ministry in the UAE. It aims to achieve development and modernization in line with the police leadership’s vision.

Two specialized lectures were given on the last day of the course. Major General Al Obaidly discussed the importance of excellence and creativity at work, referencing Dubai Police’s experience in developing a system for creativity. He stressed the importance of such programs to help achieve the federal government’s vision of making the UAE one of the best countries in the world in all aspects.

In the second lecture, Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Rashed Khalfan Al Thukhri, spoke about the importance of administrative development and its role in the development process. He discussed methods for administrative development, focusing on the role of leaders in leading a successful organizational transformation.
