The Abu Dhabi Police GHQ discussed mutual cooperation in the field of training with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus.
Brigadier General Dr. Saif Bu Dhufaira Al Ameri, Director General of Security and Ports Affairs met the Belarus delegation headed by Major General Vladimir Moiseenko, Director of the Border Guard Institute of Belarus, at his office. Brigadier Al Ameri briefed the delegation on the Abu Dhabi Police’s strategies, which resort to state-of-the-art techniques to combat crime and enhance security and safety of the community. The meeting was attended by Colonel Matar Al Muhairi, Director of the Ports Security Institute.
Colonel Khamis Musbah Al Marar, Head of the Ports and Airports Police Department at Abu Dhabi Police also met with the delegation. The Belarus delegation screened a documentary highlighting the various development processes that took place in ports security, the measures adopted to keep up with the latest international practices, as well as the methodology used in the training process. The meeting was attended by officers from various disciplines, along with the training and administrative staff from the Ports Security Institute.
The delegation toured the Abu Dhabi International Airport and inspected the security measures adopted, the technologies such as the iris scanning and electronic face recognition, the e-gates, and the passports control formalities. Moreover, the delegation also visited the Mazyad and Al Shukla border points in Al Ain city to inspect the operational and security procedures applied at these locations.
The delegation also took part in a workshop organized at the Ports Security Institute, and gave participants an overview of the security training methods adopted by the Belarus Ministry of Internal Affairs, by keeping abreast of developments in this area. The delegation included Colonel Andrei Dimovski, President of the Border Guard College and Vadim Serebryakov, Assistant Dean of the International Cooperation Faculty.
