The
E-ports Project Committee at the Ministry of Interior discussed the
execution plan for the e-ports project (e-gates); the project will cover
all of the country’s airports. The meeting, which was held recently,
was chaired by Major General Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, Director General of
Central Operations at the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ, Chairman of the
Committee. The project will be carried out in several phases; it will
start with the Abu Dhabi International Airport, and will then be
followed by the busier airports.
The committee also discussed best practices in using the face print in the project.
Major
General Al Raisi lauded the team member’s efforts as they presented the
project in a way that reflects the civilized image of the country and
reveals the progress and prosperity it witnesses. He stressed the
dedication of the highest leadership to provide excellent services to
the public by using the newest technologies in line with the
e-government strategy.
He appreciated the efforts of the Security
Media Department at the General Secretariat of the Office of H.H.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, in organizing the media
campaign to introduce the e-ports project to the public and register
them in it.
