The
Traffic and Patrols Directorate at Abu Dhabi Police recently organized a
one-day blood donation campaign at the Directorate, under the slogan
"Be a Cause in Saving a Human Life”. The campaign, held in collaboration
with the Khalifa Medical City’s Blood Bank at the Health Authority- Abu
Dhabi, marks the World Blood Donor Day, and aims to develop a sense of
humanitarian cooperation and sacrifice for others.
“The campaign
is part of the ongoing efforts by Abu Dhabi Police to reflect the human
values, and boost all forms of cooperation and assistance to the needy,
particularly blood donation. This humane gesture is crucial in saving
the lives of people injured in traffic accidents and hospital patients”,
stated Major Khalid Mohammed Al Fil, Head of the community-based
initiatives team and liaison officer for social responsibility policy at
the Traffic and Patrols Directorate of Abu Dhabi Police.
He
praised the high turnout from officers and employees of the Abu Dhabi
Traffic and Patrols Directorate, in a gesture that promotes humanitarian
and volunteer work. It also reflects the support for the competent
official authorities in discharging their duties in various areas, as
well as to provide further initiatives to raise awareness and spread
health and traffic education.
