(BUSINESS
WIRE/ME NewsWire)-- Insurance Auto Auctions, Inc. (IAA) the leading
live and live-online salvage auto auction company and wholly-owned
subsidiary of KAR Auction Services, Inc. (NYSE: KAR), today announced
that it has launched the CarKeyword App for Apple iPhone, which can be
downloaded free of charge through the Apple App Store, beginning today.
CarKeyword includes search data features to track key words and help
customers make smart buy-or-sell decisions through the convenience of
their mobile devices. Optimized for iPhone 5, CarKeyword is the first
App of its kind to be offered in Arabic.
IAA designed the
CarKeyword App to help customers anticipate increases in auction prices
and make more informed buy-or-sell decisions by using keyword search
terms to track automotive trends. Information is localized for users,
displaying language and reading orientation that matches the user’s
iPhone language settings. For example, last week the top key word in the
UAE was "Lexus" but "GMC" moved up to #7 and has been trending up for 2
weeks. The CarKeyword App tracks keywords based on a number of
variables, and displays them for users in an easy to use, easy to access
format. Some of the additional specialized capabilities and features of
the App include:
Popular tab allows users to scroll through the top 300 keywords (e.g., car searches) by volume;
Countries tab allows users to easily search for the most popular and
trending keyword search terms exclusively from users of IAA’s auction
website in the United Arab Emirates;
Rising tab allows users to view the 300 fastest increasing keywords over time;
Search key allows users to quickly locate a keyword;
Keyword buttons allow users to view a graph of each keyword’s rank by
volume over time. Users can print or save the graph, as well as share it
through social media channels.
“We continue to expand in the
United Arab Emirates and enhance our abilities to meet our customers’
growing needs, and our new App allows Arabic language users to make
informed and knowledgeable decisions in the auction buyer/seller
process,” said Tom O’Brien, chief executive officer at Insurance Auto
Auctions, Inc. “This is a very important market for us, and we are
pleased to be offering the region’s first App of its kind. CarKeyword is
the next step in offering a best in class buyer/seller experience -
users are able to access a robust database of used car trends for the
United Arab Emirates that allows them to stay informed.”
CarKeyword
is the latest in a number of Apps from IAA. In February, IAA launched
I-Pay through its IAA Buyer App for Apple, which was the first to
introduce payment services for salvage buyers via an App in the
industry. IAA also recently expanded -- and iPhone5 optimized -- its
Mugshots Parking Lots App, which provides users with photographs of
cars, trucks, vans, and SUVs for every year, make, model, and series.
IAA
service representatives from the United Arab Emirates are available to
assist users with the App as well as website-related activity and all
aspects of the registration and buying process. To contact the Arabic
language representative, please call 8000-3-570-3114 - (الإمارات العربية
