مجموعة علي بابا وياهو وسوفت بنك تتوصّل إلى اتفاق حول علي-باي

(بزنيس واير): أعلنت كل من مجموعة "علي بابا"، وشركة "ياهو" (المدرجة في بورصة ناسداك تحت الرمز: NASDAQ:YHOO)، وشركة "سوفت بنك" (المدرجة في بورصة طوكيو تحت الرمز: TYO:JP:9984) اليوم أنّها توصلت إلى اتفاق ينص على مواصلة مجموعة "علي بابا" مشاركتها في أداء "علي-باي" المالي المستقبلي الذي يشمل طلب الاكتتاب المستقبلي أو الأنشطة الأخرى المتعلقة بالسيولة. ويتوافق هذا الاتفاق مع مبدأين تمت الموافقة عليهما عند بدء المفاوضات وهما: تحديد العلاقة المشتركة بين "علي-باي" و"تاو باو" بهدف الحفاظ على القيمة ضمن "تاو باو" وبالتالي ضمن مجموعة "علي بابا"، إلى جانب الحرص على أن تحصل مجموعة "علي بابا" على التعويض الكافي لقيمة "علي-باي".

أهم شروط الاتفاق:

وينصّ الاتفاق على ما يلي:

· يحافظ الاتفاق على العلاقة القائمة بين "تاو باو" و"علي-باي". حيث ستواصل "علي-باي" تقديم خدمات معالجة الدفعات إلى مجموعة "علي بابا" والشركات التابعة لها ومنها "تاو باو" وذلك على أساس تفضيلي.

· ستقوم مجموعة "علي بابا" بمنح رخصة "علي-باي" لعدد من حقوق الملكية الفكرية والحقوق التقنية، وسوف تزوّد خدمات تقنية البرمجيات المعينة إلى موقع "علي-باي" والشركات التابعة لها. وستدفع "علي-باي" لمجموعة "علي بابا"، قبل أنشطة سيولة، رسوم الحقوق ورسوم خدمة تكنولوجيا البرمجيات، والتي تتألّف من تعويض النفقات وحصة نسبتها 49.9 في المائة من الدخل الموحّد قبل احتساب الضريبة لـ"علي-باي" والشركات التابعة لها.

· وستتلقى مجموعة "علي بابا" عائدات لا تقل عن ملياري دولار ولا تزيد عن ست مليارات دولار في اكتتاب لـ"علي-باي" أو أي نشاط سيولة آخر. وسيتم تُحدّيد العائدات الدقيقة لمجموعة "علي بابا" عبر مضاعفة قيمة الأسهم الإجمالية لـ"علي-باي" بنسبة 37.5 في المائة خاضعة إلى مبالغ الحد الأدنى والحد الأقصى السابقة.

وقال جاك ما، رئيس مجلس إدارة والرئيس التنفيذي لمجموعة "علي بابا": "لقد عملنا على مدى الأشهر القليلة الماضية بالتعاون مع شركائنا في ’ياهو‘ وفي ’سوفت بنك‘ للتوصّل إلى اتفاق يخدم مصالح الأطراف كافة. ويصبّ هذا الاتفاق في مصلحة مجموعة ’علي بابا‘ والمساهمين فيها ومنهم العملاء والموظفين والمساهمين. والأهم من ذلك أنّ ’علي-باي‘ استطاعت أنّ تؤمّن الرخصة اللازمة لمواصلة عملها".

من جانبها قالت كارول بارتز، الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة "ياهو": "يعتبر هذا الأمر نتيجة جيدة لـ’ياهو‘ ولمساهمينا، إلى جانب كافة الأطراف في هذا الاتفاق. ولقد توصّلنا بفضل هذه العملية البناءة، إلى اتفاق يحافظ على قيمة ’تاو باو‘، ويمنح الفرصة لتبادل الأرباح في ’علي-باي‘، ويبني هيكلاً يساعد مجموعة ’علي بابا‘ على المشاركة في حال تم تحقيق القيمة المرجوة من ’علي-باي‘ في طلب الاكتتاب أو أي نشاط سيولة آخر. وتتمتع مجموعة ’علي بابا‘ وفريق إدارتها بسجل مذهل في ابتكار القيمة، ونحن نتطلّع إلى المشاركة في نجاح مجموعة ’علي بابا‘ و’علي-باي‘ المتواصل".

Dubai World organises lectures on the advantages of Fasting during Ramadan

With the Holy month of Ramadan around the corner, Dubai World yesterday (July 28) organised an awareness programme on the virtues of Ramadan and the benefits of fasting for its employees. A large number of employees from Dubai World group companies located in the “Limitless” buildings in Jebel Ali attended the expert lectures.

The annual programme, coordinated by the Group’s Procurement, Contracts, and General Administration Department in cooperation with the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department of Dubai Government and DM Medical Group, featured two lectures shedding light on the religious and health aspects of fasting.

Dr. Mohammed Al Kubaisi, GrandMufti - Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities, spoke on the importance of fasting as one of the pillars of Islam and a form of worship and discipline for the human soul. He said fasting lifts the human spirit above the material world. Dr. Fadi Salem from DM Medical Group addressed the health benefits of fasting.

University Hospital Wurzburg: The World’s First Heart Patient Treated with Novel MRI Ablation Catheter

Unique technology promises to improve therapy safety and efficacy

(BUSINESS WIRE)-- The Department of Internal Medicine I and the Institute of Radiology of Würzburg University Hospital have jointly announced the successful treatment of a patient with atrial flutter utilizing an advanced new ablation catheter which is uniquely able to be used with MRI (magnetic resonance imaging).

The procedure was performed by the three cardiologists Prof. Dr. med. Oliver Ritter, Dr. med. Peter Nordbeck and Prof. Dr. med. Dr. rer. nat. Wolfgang Rudolf Bauer, who were involved in the research and development of this advanced technology, and the radiologist Prof. Dr. med. Meinrad Beer. In close cooperation with the Department of Medical Physics of the Institute of Radiology (Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Herbert Köstler and Dr. rer. nat. Thomas Pabst) an optimized MR-imaging procedure has been developed, which allows the visualization of the catheter with high temporal resolution inside the patient’s beating heart.

The standard procedure for performing an ablation involves the use of fluoroscopy. However, the visualization of anatomy is suboptimal in comparison to MRI and the radiation is potentially harmful to both the patient and the physician performing the procedure. MRI offers a much more detailed view of the anatomy, enabling better therapy delivery, and the magnetic fields involved do not put the patient and physician at risk of radiation exposure. Therefore research in developing MRI-compatible therapies is of major interest worldwide.

Today, standard ablation catheters are not MRI-compatible. The electromagnetic fields aversely react with most catheters in such a way that they cannot be effectively used or even add additional risk for the patient. The development of this novel catheter specially designed for use in this MRI-controlled ablation procedure could therefore represent a significant new opportunity for improved therapy of complex cardiac arrhythmias like atrial fibrillation.
