The Ministry of Interior (MoI) revealed its Strategy 2014-2016, along with the partnerships management mechanisms, suggestions system, knowledge strategy and green applications during the Ministry’s partners third meeting held today (Sunday) in Park Rotana Abu Dhabi. The meeting witnessed an intensive attendance of partners from ministries and governmental entities.
Organized by the Strategy and Performance Development Directorate General in the Ministry; the meeting discussed a range of topics related to developing and enhancing partnership with the aim of promoting and fostering relationships and frameworks of communications between the Ministry and its partners.
The meeting was attended by Major General Khalifa Hareb Al Khaili, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of the Interior for Resources and Support Services; alongside a number of high ranked employees in federal ministries, directors of strategy departments in local entities and departments in the UAE, and a large number of officers in the MoI.
Major General Al Khaili stressed that the meeting is based on the Ministry’s keenness to promote and foster means of communications with its partners in order to identify their needs, and their current and future expectations; exchange ideas and viewpoints; and transfer of knowledge. He noted that this reflects the degree of communication and correlation between the Ministry and its partners.
The attendees watched a special film on the nature of the Strategy and Performance Development Directorate General’ work, and a presentation on the MoI Strategy 2014-2016 presented by Major Jamal AL Khatiri Chief of Planning and Strategic Development Section in the Strategy and Performance Development Directorate General.
Major Ali Ghanim Al Taweel, Best Practices Team Leader at the Performance Directorate gave a presentation on linking the MoI’s strategic indictors to other related indicators of its partners. Captain Saeed Saleh Al Junaibi Chief of Partnership Section gave a presentation on partnership management in the MoI; partnerships management mechanisms as per the partnership actions guidelines of the Ministry; general success factors that contribute to reaching to effective partnerships; and the criteria for choosing and evaluating partners and surveying their satisfaction, remarks and suggestions.
For his part, Major Nasr Al Falasi elaborated on administrative processes in the MoI. The complaint, suggestions and creativity management system was displayed by Lieutenant Elham Al Ma’aini. In his presentation, Captain Abdullah Al Hamli from the Strategy and Performance Development Directorate General in the Ministry touched upon issues of knowledge strategy and management, and on identifying the knowledge requirements of partners. First Lieutenant Muhammad Salman Al Hanae’i from the Corporate Excellence Department in the Ministry gave a presentation on the regime of H.H Minister of Interior Excellence Awards, and the main stages achieved so far.
The presentations were concluded with a presentation by Major Saeed Elham Al Dhaheri Head of Projects Office Department in the MoI, and member of the Permanent Higher Committee for Green Applications. The presentations shed light on the main phases reached by the MoI in spreading the culture of green application and the adherence to international standards in implementing this culture. At the end of the meeting, Major General Al Khaili recognized the Ministry’s partners, and distributed commemorative shields and certificates of gratitude on them.
