UAEU Female students visit the ADP Forensic Evidence Department


ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates - Friday, December 6th 2013 [ME NewsWire]

A total of 13 students from the Chemistry Department, the College of Science at the United Arab Emirates University visited the Forensic Evidence Department at Abu Dhabi Police. The visit aims to acquaint students with the department’s various disciplines and the nature of work at the Chemistry Department.

Colonel Abdul Rahman Al Hammadi, Head of the Forensic Evidence Department, gave the visiting students an overview of the forensic labs’ development stages. He also underlined the ADP’s commitment to develop the technical and human resources, according to the best security practices that contribute to achieve justice.

Moreover, the students listened to a briefing detailing the chemistry lab’s functions as well as the various tests it conducts to uncover crimes. They also reviewed some if the cases handled by the Chemistry Department’s forensic laboratory.
