Statistics Center- Abu Dhabi (SCAD) lauded the Abu Dhabi Police’s support and participation in the initiative to display the largest statistical map of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi in the world on the Abu Dhabi Corniche, to mark the UAE 42nd National Day celebrations. The Center honored the Abu Dhabi Police for its efforts and cooperation in the implementation of the initiative. The center also honored the partners and supporters.
In a speech delivered on this occasion, Major General Khalil Dawood Badran, Director General of Finance and Services at Abu Dhabi Police reiterated the support of Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, for this initiative that embodies the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ’s strategy to communicate with various segments of society and provide quality services to the public.
The Director General of Finance and Services also emphasized the importance of interacting with the various society segments and individuals and to acquaint them with the Abu Dhabi Police’s achievements through exhibitions. “Such exhibitions foster direct communication and boosts mutual trust and cooperation between the Abu Dhabi Police and the different sectors of the community and the public in general. This is one of the most important strategic objectives of the Abu Dhabi Police, and is in pursuance of the directives issued by the higher leadership to instill modern concepts of police work and promote its social role,” concluded Badran.
For his part, Brigadier Saeed Saif Al Nuaimi, Head of the Procurement and Warehouse Department emphasized the commitment of the Abu Dhabi Police to build bridges of cooperation and communication with various sectors of the community. “It also supports community-based, service and creative initiative. It is a strategic partner for public and private institutions, including the Statistics Center– Abu Dhabi”, concluded Al Nuaimi.
On the same note, Butti Ahmed Mohammed bin Butti Al Qubaisi, Director General of SCAD said that honoring the partners today is in pursuance with the initiative to display the largest statistical map of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. “It reflects our belief in the importance of cooperation, teamwork and team spirit”, indicated Al Qubaisi. Moreover, he praised the efforts exerted by the Abu Dhabi Police within the initiative, in addition to organizing old and modern photos exhibition that highlights the history of the Abu Dhabi Police since its inception to present day.
A large number of elementary school students, and students from the Zayed Higher Organization for Humanitarian Care and Special Needs had visited the Police exhibition held for the first time. The students reviewed the photos displayed photos documenting the historic stage of the evolution of the Abu Dhabi Police, since its inception to present day, as well as the development and innovation it achieved. The Abu Dhabi Police offered commemorative gifts to the students.
It is noteworthy that the Abu Dhabi police participated in the initiative for the first time with an exhibition of old and modern photos. The exhibition acquaints visitors with the evolution stages of the Abu Dhabi Police. On display were old equipment, uniforms, and communications equipment, in addition to other old tools and vehicles used by police officers in the early stages of its establishment. The exhibition also features some of the various modern techniques and services presently provided by the Abu Dhabi Police, which clearly showcase the extent of progress achieved by the Abu Dhabi Police. Moreover, the photo gallery features a rare set of old photos documenting the historic stage of the Abu Dhabi Police development.
